Today I hiked portions of the Chestnut Ridge County Park (Orchard Park, NY) Orienteering and Boy Scout Trails for a total of 4 miles and 413 feet of elevation gain.

The mud is almost completely frozen. There was a light dusting of snow. Too little snow for snowshoes and not icy enough to need spikes. Some of the creeks are impassible without getting your feet wet but there’s almost always a way around in this park.

All Trails has a new feature that lets you download all the trails in a park. If you have a WNY Hiking Challenge Avenza map, you’ll see a lot more trails than in All Trails.
